North Pole allows visitors to experience the speed of Earth’s rotation in real time. The snow-covered revolving stage, which represents the North Pole, rotates once around its axis within 24 hours. The rotation speed at the edge of the stage is 1.8cm/min.
Expedition North Pole The Linz-based collective, raumarbeiterinnen, invites visitors on a performative tour to the North Pole. The tours start from the m20d Center and are announced via an information board.
Theo Deutinger (AT), is an architect, urbanist, and curator. He is founder and head of The Department (TD), a practice that combines architecture and urban design with analytic research. With his office he works at all levels from global planning to architecture to graphic design and curatorial works. Deutinger is known for his theoretical writings on the transformation of European urban culture and his publications such as the ‘Handbook of Tyranny’ and ‘Joy and Fear’.

Nordpol ermöglicht es den BesucherInnen die Geschwindigkeit der Erdrotation in Echtzeit wahrzunehmen. Das schneebedeckte 1:1 Modell des Nordpols wird von Menschenhand innerhalb von 24 Stunden einmal um seine Achse gedreht. Die Drehgeschwindigkeit am Rand der Bühne beträgt 1,8 cm/min.
Expedition Nordpol Das Linzer Künstlerinnenkollektiv raumarbeiterinnen nimmt die Besucher*innen mit auf eine performative Tour zum Nordpol. Die Touren starten vom m20d Zentrum und werden über eine Infotafel angekündigt.
Theo Deutinger (AT) ist Architekt, Urbanist und Kurator. Er ist Gründer und Leiter von The Department (TD), einem Büro, das Architektur und Stadtplanung mit analytischer Forschung verbindet. Mit seinem Büro arbeitet er auf allen Maßstabsebenen von globaler Planung über Architektur bis hin zu Grafikdesign und kuratorischen Arbeiten. Deutinger ist bekannt für seine theoretischen Abhandlungen über die Transformation der europäischen Stadtkultur und Publikationen wie 'Handbook of Tyranny' und 'Joy and Fear'.
